. . . and the view from Governors Island is amazing! From the Island, you can see three out of the four New York City Waterfalls. Here’s a photo I took from the Coursen (our ferry boat) on my way to work this morning. I was too entranced by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Piers waterfalls to notice if we could see the one on the Manhattan waterfront from our ferry, so I’ll have to check that out tonight.

For the sole purpose of tooting our own horn, I will note that the Governors Island waterfall made Curbed’s top two list (out of four) of favorite New York City Waterfalls. But at the risk of starting an intra-harbor rivalry, I must point out that our waterfall has the added allure of falling on top of real rocks at low tide. Check it out:
