I think the cat should be named Giny which is short for Governors Island New York since she is a girl and she swam to Governors Island. Another good name would be Lady 9 like double 007 after all she is a cat and cats have 9 lives.

What a lovely cat. I’m a surrogate mother to six kittens; bottle feeding and providing them with a kind and loving home with a caring vet to discount their shots for me, and for them to live inside my home until I can find them good caring owners; most are not wanting an indoor cat and the elements of outdoors will greatly decrease their life cycle, in which I can not bear. So for now my babies are indoors, safe, fed, and well kept.

Names are important and I take care in the naming of mine. She’s a beaute, that is for sure, and many names come into this picture:
Callie/Chelsea/Picklie/Pansey/Apricot/Pixie/Maxie/
and my favorite: Seaweedie
