Free Bike Fridays Kicks Off in Friday June 5
Biking is one of Governors Island’s most popular activities. In fact, more than one quarter of all of our visitors bike while here. That is why we are so pleased that Free Bike Fridays is kicking off tomorrow. Visitors can come out to Governors Island and borrow a bike for free for up to one hour. We have twice the number of bikes for the program as last year, and we have increased the number of bike paths available to visitors. Now, there are more than five miles of car-free biking to enjoy. So, take the free ferry to the Island to enjoy an entirely free day of biking and fun. The Island is open from 10 AM to 5 PM every Friday and Free Bike Fridays runs every Friday until October 9.
