Have a Seat

picnic point chairs 004-sm

Hundreds of visitors have jumped, or swung, at the opportunity to relax in the new Governors Island hammocks. Maybe laying back looking at the sky and clouds or the leafy cover of a London Plane tree isn’t your style? As of this weekend, you can instead choose one of the dozens of bright red Adirondack chairs that can be found at Picnic Point and around the Island. We continue to add more and more ways for you to stop, take in the views, have a picnic, chat with friends or just enjoy the quiet. This weekend, take advantage of the long-absent sunshine; pack your paper, pick up a coffee at one of the Island vendors and do something extraordinary… sit!
