Nina QuattrocchiYesterday, Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Port Authority announced a new dock at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The new dock will allow direct ferry service between Governors Island and Brooklyn Bridge Park. We have been so glad to provide some ferry service to Brooklyn this year, and this new dock will provide an enduring connection between Governors Island and Brooklyn. Next year, Brooklyn residents and visitors will be able to enjoy new activities and programs on Pier 6, in direct view of Governors Island, and then hop on a boat to get to Governors Island in only three minutes to experience recreational and cultural programming here.
